It sat in a closet on the family farm from an early unknown date until my father took it out in 2005. My great grandfather passed.

The 24 was a distinct model, with set number 4920, as compared with the standard model 20 #4640. McMahon's Radio Collector's Guide lists a DeLuxe version of the 20 in 1924, and the 24 DeLuxe in 1925.
Within the Parts List dated October 1927, it is identified as the 24 (De Luxe). Due to time constraints, I must rely entirely on the accuracy of information supplied by contributors with their photographs. It was commonly paired with the A-K Type "E" speaker, with its huge 16" diameter cone, although a horn could also be used, or headphones. A-K 40's are very common - a lot of them were made. And I’m sure many kids of the fifties wished they had an official Hopalong Cassidy AM radio (below). The museum, of course, also houses a large number of classic televisions.
